1. Gather your account info. Do not terminate your existing service! Your account with your previous carrier must be active at the start of the process. 3. What now? The process typically takes 2-24 hours for mobile phone numbers and 5-7 days for land lines or VOIP numbers. Once your port completes you'll get an email from us to let you know your port request was successful. Once the port completes, your ported number will show up in the FreedomPop app. Your old number will be deactivated, and your ported number should now work. Your phone may be unable to make or receive calls for a few minutes once the port is complete. Text messaging may take up to 72 hours to work. We recommend to log out and log back into the FreedomPop app so the new number shows up in the menu. Here is a video that can guide your through the porting process.
